Are you thinking of trying Aikido? The best time to begin is NOW! We encourage everyone from the ages of 6 – 100 to practice with us. Please review the FAQs below and email us to get started.
Where are you located?
Our dojo is located at 194 South Market Street in Wailuku.
How do I get started?
For both adults and children, we recommend first visiting the appropriate class to watch and to meet the instructor. View our general schedule and the the most recent monthly class calendar, then get in touch with us to confirm details and set up your visit.
Which class is right for me?
No matter your age, start with one of our beginner classes:
Adults: Mondays and Fridays – 6:30 to 8:30 PM
Teens: Tuesdays – 5:00 to 6:30 PM
Children: Thursdays – 6:00 to 7:30 PM, Saturdays 8:30 – 10:00 AM

We also offer introductory classes and several public workshops throughout the year. Sign up for our monthly email newsletter to learn about upcoming classes.
What should I wear for my first class?
You can start with just a t-shirt or sweat shirt and loose-fitting pants. If you already have a white martial arts uniform, you are welcome to wear it with a white belt.
I’m ready to join the dojo! What now?
The instructor of your class can sign you up. If you sign up in the middle of a semester, your dues will be pro-rated. Once you pay your dues, you are a member of the dojo and you can begin training immediately!
How often should I come to class?
There is no minimum or maximum requirement on how often you can train. Many beginners are comfortable coming to class once a week, but the more often you train the more quickly you will learn. The most important thing is to practice regularly and be consistent.
What if I have more questions?
Stop by the dojo before class and our instructors will be happy to talk with you, or email us anytime.
