Dues and Fees

Special 2022 Dues:

Adults (18 and older): $100 per six month period

Youth (17 and younger): $50 per six month period

Second and third child from one family at $25 each per 6 month period

This special dues structure is subject to change and will be revisited by the board near the end of 2022.

Ki, Kyu & Dan Promotion Fees

  1. Before any person may receive any rank in Ki Development or ShinshinToitsu Aikido, his initiation fee and annual fees must have been paid.
  2. Ki Development Promotion Fees:
  • Shokyu – $35
  • Chukyu – $35
  • Jokyu – $35
  • Shoden – $240
  • Chuden – $480
  • Joden – $800
  • Okuden – $1,700
  • Kaiden – Donation
  1. Lecturer’s Qualification Promotion Fees:
  • Assistant Lecturer – $240
  • Associate Lecturer – $400
  • Lecturer – $480
  1. Examiner’s Qualification Promotion Fees:
  • Assistant Examiner – $160
  • Associate Examiner – $320
  • Examiner – $650
  • Special Examiner – $800
  1. ShinshinToitsu Aikido Kyu and Dan Promotion Fees:
  • 5th Kyu to 1st Kyu – $35
  • Shodan – $175
  • Nidan – $255
  • Sandan – $350
  1. ShinshinToitsu Aikido Recommended Dan Promotion Fees:
  • Shodan – $560
  • Nidan – $725
  • Sandan – $900
  • Yondan – $1,050
  • Godan – $1,400
  • Rokudan – $2,000
  • Nanadan& over – Donation

Note: In addition to the promotion fees, the Federation may assess the candidates examination fees which may be used for the growth of the Federation. Up to Sandan the candidates must take the examinations according to the specifications in the “ShinshinToitsu Aikido Criteria for Examination” (available in training manual “Ki-Aikido on Maui”), except those who cannot take the examinations for reasons of physical handicap or age, or those who have done much service to the Ki Society. In the case of the above three, the candidates may be granted the recommended Dan.
